Our Story

Honouring the Japanese term ‘sense of taste’, Mikaku brings you a fusion of organic roots, leaves, fruits, and flowers, in their truest expression, combined with authentic tea bases. No flavour enhancers, artificial flavours, or colours are added to our tea range.

Hand blended in Christchurch, New Zealand, the Mikaku tea blends have been intentionally developed to give you a clean depth of developing flavour in every cup.

Mikaku creates a sustained experience between tea and your body. A moment for mindful nourishment, ritual, and ceremony.

Tea Of The Month

- Summer Rooibos

During the month of April we feature another favourite, Summer Rooibos. We have been featuring this tea blend weekly at the Lyttelton Farmers Market, offering out samples of iced Summer Rooibos and have received great feedback.

Now that the weather is cooler we recommend enjoying it hot. The spices are warming and the citrus and floral notes of orange, lemongrass and elderflower come through to blend beautifully with the rooibos base.

Recipe - Three Peach Iced Tea

During autumn we gather and dry lots of juicy peaches.

These peaches are exclusively for our gorgeous Three Peach tea blend.
